We chose to take a closer look at credits in trailers as we felt it was important to get them correct for our trailer. Here are some examples of the credits in some trailers that are a similar genre to our film; The perks of being a Wallflower is a coming of age film that includes romance and strong themes such as depression and abuse making it similar to our film. In addition to the 'Appropriate audiences', production company and film title screen the trailer includes screens that hint at the story and introduce main characters. There are also screens indicating when the film in coming out and who is producing it. As well as indicating the fact that it's from a critically acclaimed novel, therefore creating interest as the book was obviously successful.
Tyrannosaur is a social realism film that also strongly focuses on abuse. Similarly to 'The perks of being a wallflower' the trailer for Tyrannosaur includes the production company screen and the film title screen along with award and quotes from reviews about the film. the majority of the credits for the trailer are placed over the top of clips from the film, this way of presenting credits it one that I feel could lead its self to our film.
From looking at the two trailers I've realised that the names of actors are not often mentioned in trailers like they are in openings. Actors and directors names are our really mentioned in the final credit screen or if they are a big draw to the film, for example Wes Anderson in the Grand Budapest Hotel.
